Krav Maga

Krav Maga is not a traditional martial art. It was developed in a hostile environment in which combatants could not devote many hours to hand to hand combat training. Therefore, the Krav Maga system was created to bring students to a high level of proficiency in a relatively short period of time. There are no forms (katas) or rules or set combinations as reactions to attacks. Instead, Krav Maga training focuses on teaching simple self protection techniques which are specifically catered to reality based attack situations.

Jiu Jitsu

Based on early 20th century Kodokan Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling (ground fighting).  The goal in Jui-Jitsu is to gain a dominant position and uses joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent into submission. Class participants are assured of working up a sweat and building confidence.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

Our Muay Thai program places a very strong emphasis not only on the devestating kicks, knees and elbows that tend to characterize Muay Thai but also on development of strong boxing.  FTF places a premium on understanding and using the “Clinch Range”, in all of its facets, in an effort to produce the most comprehensive approach to Muay Thai possible.
