Ryan is Fit to Fight co-founder & trainer of instructors in 8 different countries. He is FTF Chief Krav Maga instructor & has black belts in multiple systems. He has co-authored three books on Krav Maga. Ryan is a certified natural trainer and speed, agility and quickness trainer and is also the co-founder of the self protection program, Hard Ready.
Having trained a literal lifetime in the Combat Arts, worked as both a social worker and nightclub bouncer for almost 20 years, Jeff has amassed a unique resume as a Student, Instructor and Motivator. Through the years as a perpetual student, Jeff has competed at the NCAA level in Wrestling, is both a BJJ and Sambo Black Belt, a qualified Muay Thai and Boxing Coach; a full Combat Submission Wrestling Instructor under Erik Paulson and is a qualified Krav Maga Instructor.
Mike Muscat has been training in the Marital Arts for over 25 years and brings unbridled enthusiasm and passion to teach each day. Charlye is a native of Colombia, South America and a proud graduate of Francis Marion University with a degree in Latin American Studies and Spanish Literature.
Charlye is a competitive fighter amassing a record of 7-3 in MMA and also competes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (as a Purple Belt) and is a South Carolina State Champion in both gi and no gi. He also placed second in the Cali Cup in South America. Charlye has traveled to both Brazil and Thailand to train and plans to go back to each in the near future.
Tuan’s family emigrated to the U.S. when he was 5 years old. He started martial arts at the age of 11 with Tae Kwon Do. He achieved his 2nd Degree black belt while attending college. He later served 6 years in the U.S. Navy in the area of satellite communications and cryptology. While stationed in San Diego and East Asia he was introduced to Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
Sam wrestled for a three years in high school, but while in college started training in Krav Maga, but moved on to Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after a period of time. After graduating from UNC-Charlotte with a Criminal Justice degree in 2010, Sam spent 6 months in Thailand training Muay Thai with national champions, and for a time, alongside world ranked Saenchai. He finished his time there with a professional fight. Since returning to the US, Sam continues to train Muay Thai, and hopes to continue a fighting career. Sam enjoys teaching traditional Muay Thai, and tries to impart skills he learned from his trainers in Thailand.
Darren grew up in Salisbury, NC and graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 1993. He has spent the past 15 years of his professional life in the financial services industry. Darren is married with two young children who will soon be exposed to the wonderful world of martial arts.
Fred grew up in Toledo, OH. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1995. While working in technical fields with the Marines, Fred also trained in combat both with weapons and hand to hand. After two successful enlistments, during most of which he was based in Jacksonville, NC, Fred transitioned to civilian life. He spent five years working as a Technical Trainer, training military personnel in setting up tactical data and voice communication networks. Fred traveled extensively in this time, including stints in Kuwait, Iraq, Japan, and military bases all throughout the US. Currently, he works as a Network Technician in the Charlotte area, where he lives with his girlfriend, daughter, and 2 dogs.
Jared is was raised in Sumter, South Carolina and started boxing in 2001. After an 8 year 68-fight amateur career, Jared was ranked #2 in the Nation before turning pro in 2009. He is currently 7-0 with 3KOs as a professional boxer. His success has been the result of his hard work and determination.
